I wrote this like a day after I got home from paris, but thought I was gonna load it up with pictures as well. As it is I don't seem to have any control of the millions of pictures we took so I'll just post some of 'em later. Bisou!
:

Alright, I'll tell you about my time in Paris, babies.
You all seem to have had an ace time at the NIN concerts in London so I don't know how exciting this will seem, but goood god the best trip of my life... except perhaps Roskilde with Pishans and Nova.

Alors... day one, Wednesday.
Me and Nova, Annika and Natali came to the airport at about eleven. We got there by bus because my mother had woken up early in the morning panicking cos she thought it wouldn't be a good idea to let my grandfather drive us since he had been drinking. Annika met this nice french lady on the bus who invited us to come and visit her in Paris since she had this parfume shop there, close to the Operah.
Annika drank some vodka and had some cigarettes before we went on the plane and the rest of us felt lame as usual. We went with RyanAir and there was gum on each planeseat. Woo!

We got to Paris and everyone were fascinated by how warm it was, considering we had been leaving Stockholm with snow on the streets and a grey sky. Nova took a million boring photos of some lillies and we dragged our bags through the Paris metro to Charonne, or whateverthehellitiscalled, where the hotel was. We had rented an apartment but we had to go to a hotel to get the keys... so we got the keys from this jolly french guy blabbing on in french to everyone even though I was the only one speaking it, and we got a contract and the keys and continued to Porte de Clignacourt where we were staying (tha ghetto, yo?).

The flat was aaaawesome. At first when we got there we couldn't find it cos it was supposed to be on 35, Rue de Mont Cenis, and we were sooo tired and whiny cos we'd been travelling since 7 in the morning and she was like 3, and we dragged our bags up and down the street and couldn't find the damn port cos it was supposed to be 35 and there was 33, 34 and then all of a sudden 40, and then it continued up til 107... some black guys with pimp clothing went by us and said something like ey yo gangstah, we were in desperate need of help so I was gonna say hey can you help us but ended up just going 'Ey' and doing a come here gangstah gesture, it was ridicilous. They thought I was trying to be cool and laughed too much, as did we. Me as a gangstah just doesn't work. Anyway they helped us to find the flat, really sweet guys, and it turned out to be in the port for 34 - it went from 34 to 40 in that one building, don't ask me why. Kinda weird. The flat had a bathroom, a fully equiped kitchen, a microwave, four beds and table with chairs. It was awesome. The only freaky thing was the fact that there was a big sign put up on the floor under the oven;
"WATCH OUT FOR THE MOUSE. OUT NOW!! (arrow arrow and a little drawn picture of a mouse)"
That really freaked Annika out, but the rest of us didn't care too much.
Alors we went out and bought some cookies (I just love their cookies with this hero/prince on the front, two cookies au beurre and chocolate in the middle) and Annika got Sangria because she's in love with it from Spain. We got some chinese food from this fastfood place and had it in the flat, then we got ready to go out and went to this place <url=http://www.favelachic.com/index.php>Favela Chic</url> that someone had tipped me off on, it was this food/bar/dance place with a kind of bohemian style with low, long tables, old broody sofas and a bar, warm light and a girl DJ who looked way too cool standing at an old bureau mixing music with a cigarette in her mouth. France from the fun side! So we had a glass of wine or beer each, just one cos it was kinda expensive (about 6 euros each) and then we danced. All night. It was so much fun. There were so many chic people there, it was kind of funny, tall skinny people who looked really cool and also there were the regular geeks swinging their hips too much as well as some REALLY geeky guys that didn't have any sense of rhythm at all and that tried to hit on us. It was funny in an annoying sort of way. We ended the night happily at about 3 in the morning only to discover that the metro stops running at 1! What the fuck? It's a city of 10 million people and countless of tourists and the metro stops running at twelve. We ran around Châtelet and tried to find buses without any luck, ended up getting a taxi home with this really nice taxidriver who turned up the music for us so that it more felt like being in a discoteque (comment dit-on?). We got home, and went to bed. Woo.

Thursday.
We got up at about nine, we were focused on making a lot of each day I guess which means nosleep gah. We took the metro to... my memory is fading?
We took the metro to goddamn where did we take the metro to oh yeah we took the metro to Rue de Rivoli and had a breakfast baguette each, so good, I had one with mozarella and stuff and it was good, we met a homeless man with a paper for homeless people ("Sans Abri") and bought one from him and felt good about ourselves, then we wandered on to Notre Dame and went in there and took some photos and sat and poundered on life in the church, we all felt quite tired and had a big deep discussion about life and god and I don't know what, then we wandered on to the Louvre, we didn't go in cos most of us had all seen Mona Lisa and it's not too interesting anyway. Nova managed to fall over on the one raised stone on the whole ground in front of Louvren and it was hilarious, at least we thought so at the time, then we started our walk to the Eiffeltower cos it was my eighteenth birthday and I got two calls on the way from my aunt and my mom singing Happy Birthday for me, so my money ran out because I'm charged when people call me from another country. The Eiffel Tower is quite big and turned out to be further away than we had originally thought, thus we wandered for like an hour, we got help from some nice old ladies and finally got there. The reason we were so keen on going to the Eiffel Tower is that we're all sold on Ben & Jerry's, and it was my birthday and Annika had read on some Ben & Jerry's site that there was supposed to be this Ben & Jerry's bar at the second floor of the Eiffel Tower, alors we thought it was super and we went there to celebrate me and have icecream or whatever. We stood 40 minutes in line to get tickets to go up in the Tower, dead tired cos it was about 4 o clock and we hadn't eaten since breakfast and we'd been walking forever, got tickets to go up since the elevator costed 2 euros more, asked the lady in the caisse if there was a Ben & Jerry's on the second floor and she said yes, was it open yes box, made it upp all the goddamn stairs only to discover that there was no Ben & Jerry's. There was a shitty café with swampy baguettes for 6 euros which didn't even have any tables or chairs. We went down to the first floor but it wasn't there either. Took some photos of us in the eiffel tower, we all look dead pissed and cranky, and I don't think none of us will ever think good of the Eiffel Tower again. We went down, I went into a Change office on the way and lost 10 euros on changing currency, bought a chocolate crêpes each to get our bloodsugar up and went on to Champs Elysées to go to Monoprix and stuck up on snacks, candy and spirits. I bought shrimpchips (well what the hell is it you call it in english? I know chips is like pommes frites in Britain. But I don't know what chips is then.) normal chips, pringles and salsa sauce, Annika bought heaps of beer and coffeecoke and Nova and Natali bought candy, mostly chocolate.
When we got back to the apartment there was this note over a hole on the bottom side of the bathtub, 'Mickey lives here". We got really fucking freaked out because it had surely not been there when we left. Who'd been there? I really don't know and me and Annika were freaked out that we had some psychopath with keys to our apartment after us, while Nova was mostly amused and Natalie was convinced it was one of us joking. It was scary either how...
We were supposed to snack while getting ready to go to this tapasbar but ended up eating so much back home that we felt like rolling down the streets, thus we only went to the tapas bar (Les Piétons, in Marais) to drink but it was too full. So we went further down on the street and ended up on Black Dog, this really funny looking black metal bar (well I guess it was 'ardcore but to me it was funny), I had some bad cofféedrink and we got quite bored, it wasn't as amusing as we would've imagined it to be so we went back to Les Piétons which was emptier at this time, bought some sangria and I had a shot and some tapas just to be able to sit down (otherwise you had to stand at the bar) it was really good but shit expensive. The staff was kind of funny, they kept forgetting about us and our orders and this fat guy which was supposed to serve us kept looking at us and going "Oh!" because he remember that we'd ordered something that he hadn't brought. Hah. Eventually this french guy at about 25 years, kind of good looking, came and sat down with us and we talked for about an hour, sometimes in french and sometimes in english, he was nice and amusing and we all liked him. After that his other friend came and joined us, we talked for a bit and I told him about my shit time in France. He was like; "You wanna know what I think?"
"Yes"
"You wanna know what I think?"
"Well, yes!"
"You really wanna know what I think?"
"God damn it, yes, tell me what you think?"
"I think... uh" (maybe it should be added that I was quite drunk at this point, and as was he it seemed) "I think that I'm seeing four beautiful girls, and we'd like to end the evening together. The question remaining is just... where?" I started laughing and my friends wondered what they'd said. So I told them and they all broke out laughing too. We explained to them how that was quite out of the question whereafter he exclaimed; "But I like to fuck girls!" hahha, like we hadn't understood that... so we left and tried to find another place. We didn't wanna take a taxi home and the metro was closed, so we searched for somewhere to be until 6 in the morning when the metro was supposed to start running again, alors we found this club The Banana, a gay club which costed to get into cos you had to take off your coat and stuff and get into the vestiaire which costed about 2 euros for each item, other than that we didn't buy anything in the bar so we didn't spend too much money there and it was INSANE. Soooo much fun. There was some male strippers there who had taken off all their clothes and wanted Nova to come and grab their asscheeks and me too, we danced with like a million gays and they were all hilarious and had their own awesome unique sort of dancestyle, there were also a lot of straight guys there trying to hit on us but they were too impatient (as usual) and it got annoying. We found some really fun gay guys who were too hot (how come the most attractive guys are always gay? eh?) and I have some on them on my msn now, it was like one of the best nights of my life, I just can't explain it. We had so much fun and Annika found this really hot guy who wanted her and she got quite upset because she has a boyfriend and she didn't want to be unfaithul and at the same time she didn't want to let the chance slip by. At the end she was a good girlfriend and she's been nagging about it ever since.
We left the bar at about 6 am. We looked like shit and it felt kind of amusing as we got home on the metro and all the parisians were going to work in their suits looking splendid and fresh as parisians do, well, sometimes. Then we slept until about 2 pm the next day. Best fucking birthday ever

Friday.
We went to Sacre Coeur and I guess if I spelt that wrong I should be ashamed now, I'm not sure... we went there anyway and it was nice, the buildings were nice and Moulin Rouge was nice and Natalie and Nova had a crêpe each and we sat in the stairs up to the Sacre Coeur sunbathing while someone was playing the guitar and it was idyllic and nice. Me and Annika discussed moving together at some point because my grandfather has this flat outside of Stockholm and I would like to move there because I'm tired of living at home. I'm excited and I really hope it works out now, actually... anyway
We went down the stairs from Sacre Coeur and met this Swedish blonde girl eating an icecream. The first thing she said was "So what do you think of this?"
We were like, "This all? What? Sacre Coeur? Well, it's nice..." since we thought it was a pretty weird question. Up turned another guy with a camera and it showed out they were from a Swedish newspaper, Aftonbladet, making an article about how much you could manage to do one day in Paris, we were so high on the experience from the day before that we started blabbing all of us at once and told them about how we'd managed to see all the touristic sites, go to a black metal bar, a tapas bar and last but not least a gaybar in one day, we told them what we thought of Paris and the parisians and what was good and bad and generally we had quite pouring our hearts out to them while they wrote it down along with our names. Then they took our picture with the blondie girl in the stairs to sacre coeur (god, we all looked awful) and we went on our way home again. Annika and Nova bought a Smirnof Ice on the way home (so damn cheap, 3 euros) and I bought a packet of mini Baileys. Well at home we bought pizza (a big 'senior' pizza was like the size of a small pizza in Sweden, kind of weird) and drank and got ready, then we took the metro to the Champs-Elysées cos we'd heard there were supposed to be a lot of good clubs there and we wanted to visit a big place for ones and not just tiny bars. We got into this technoclub, The Queen, for free, and it was good because otherwise it would've costed us 20 euros each plus 10 euros for me and Nova because we offered to pay for Annikas entrance (she didn't have much money left and didn't want to go to such an expensive place) alors well in there we were reeeally happy about it because it was such a shitty place. It looked all grand and big from the outside and it namedropped people who'd been there from Paul van Dyke to Felix Da Housecat, so we got all excited about it, but it seriously really sucked ass. First of all the dancefloor wasn't that big and a bottle of water costed 10 euros. TEN EUROS. Second of all around the dancefloor they had built this sort of esplanade, where they had put up sofas and tables and that was supposed to be the 'VIP', where these men in suits (rich people of Paris, I guess) were sitting looking on while the girls where dancing on the dancefloor. It was weird. Like this weird sort of meatmarket. The music was easy to foresee and boring and people weren't even dancing, just switching from foot to foot. When me and Annika went to the toilet I told her how bored I was feeling, and she went "Oh God me too! I thought I was the only one!" so we decided to leave the club after only an hour. We went out on the streets and it was about one in the morning, really fucking cold and all the other clubs on Champs-Elysées seemed to be just as boring and expensive so we were watching a busmap to figure out how to take a bus back to Marais since there'd been more places back there which seemed fun the night before, when we met two guys who both looked kind of dumb. One of them had a face filled with pimples and bunny-looking teeth and he asked me in french where we were from. I said Sweden, he asked if we could all speak french and I said no, only me whereafter he started blabbing at just about everyone in french. He asked if two of us could follow him and his friend to a club because they couldn't get in without a girl each and I said, yes, sure, it wasn't like we had anything better to do. He picked out me and Nova and explained to us that we were supposed to go there and then just get out as soon as we were in, it was cool with him as long as he got in there. When we came to the club there where two buff looking black guards in the door who told the guys in french that they "couldn't just pick up some girls and go in there and then have them leave, you know" and then asked them "where they'd found new girls this time". I thought it was kind of funny. I showed them my ID and they were too dumb to understand the date. So I showed them my birthdate, written on the goddamn card, and they were still too stupid to get it. I didn't think this could be happening as it was written out on the goddamn card, right there, "Födelsedag/Birth date/Date de naissance: 19890308" and it couldn't be that hard to get, but he kept going "where is the date?! I don't get it" when I finally explained to him that it was a Swedish ID card and maybe it wasn't formed as a french one whereafter he said "This is too fishy. You're not getting in."
I thought OK whatever so me and Nova started leaving but the guys kept following us and the mec with bunnyteeth asked me, time after time;
"Why didn't you want to follow us into the club?! Why!?"
I was like is this happening? Is he that dumb? He was standing beside me right then when they refused us to get in? But I explained to him that the guard hadn't understood my ID card and thus we hadn't gotten in and it wasn't really anything bad on our side. He went; "Aren't you 18?" and I said, "Yes, but they didn't understand my ID card". Then he wanted to look at the card. He did and he couldn't understand the goddamn birth date either. I got sick of them both and then he started blabbing at Nova in French which of course she doesn't understand shit of and then he asked us where in England we came from. I told him once again that we were from Sweden and that Nova didn't speak French. He exclaimed:
"But she speaks in English! You're not from England?!" (to Nova, again, in English).
We left the guys and went back to Annika and Natalie, then we took the bus towards Marais. On the bus me and Nova started joking about something and laughing hysterically, whereafter I laughed so hard that I snored, which is kind of funny I guess, I've started doing that I have no idea why :P *pig* and we couldn't stop laughing at it, so this french guy who was sitting beside me also started snoring and imitating me, and then this other french guy, and we laughed so much that we cried. We got off the bus at Marais and me and Natalie went to buy a crêpe each (god I love those things). When we got back to Nova and Annika they were standing with another guy, Joakim, who was really cute and tall and he asked us if we wanted to come with him and his friends to this Waterpipe smoking place, I can't remember what you call it in English but it's when you have this waterpipe? And you have a flavoured piece of coal and you smoke it and it's really relaxing. In France they have these Maroccean cafés for doing that and they're really nicely decorated and awesome and I wish we had them in Sweden. Anyway we were excited about it and followed them there, Annika and Natalie were suspicious but they seemed nice and told us about how it was a family company and they usually hang out there all night smoking from the argile, so we followed them and they locked up the café and we went in there and it was really ace. We were in the basement with the Maroccan decoration and the pipes and music and just really nice atmosphere and these three guys were really cool. We spoke to them all night and smoked waterpipe and had a good time, Natalie ended up with the most good looking one and when we were too tired to speak anymore, at about 7 in the morning, we went out and took the metro home again. I got some of the guys emails but I've lost my goddamn phonecharger so I can't charge the phone and see what it was.
Once again it was kind of embarrassing looking like a worn out whore barely able to walk when all the snazzy parisians were going to work. The next morning we slept until 3 pm.

Saturday
Annika had KFC for breakfast and the rest of us had baguettes. We'd basically been living on pizza, cnacks and candy so we didn't feel too fresh. To avoid getting home really late again and then having to get ready and go out, we fixed ourselves up when we woke up at 3 am and then went out to not come back to the apartment before going out. I was supposed to see this French girl I knew in Paris and we'd decided to see each other Saturday so me and my friends went to Republique, which was the place we'd decided on for meeting but all of a sudden she stopped texting me back and I didn't find out where the hell we were supposed to meet, I only knew it was around 17:30 around the areas of Republique. So we assumed she was ignoring us and went to the parc in front of where Victor Hugo used to live, we were sunbathing and drinking Sangria and Mini Baileys, when me and Nova figured it would be fun to get one of these big nice looking pastries we'd seen in a café close by at Rue de Rivoli, so we went there (I shouted coucou in a really dumb way and a group of hot guys thought I was shouting at them and said salut, it was kind of embarrassing because I feltlikeacreepyoldlady) while Natali and Annika staid sunbathing in the parc. I had a big chocolate pastry and Nova had a maräng (what do you call them in english? those big fluffy things made of sugar and eggs, basically?) and we went back to eat them in the park. When we came back Annika had gotten drunk on the Sangria and we all had fun on her behalf because really, how sad is it to get drunk on one little bottle of weak Sangria in a park. We went to Pigalle and Annika made a fool of herself and fell over five times on the metro. We got to Champion at Pigalle and me and Annika bought an apple vodka and 7up, Nova sulked because they had no more Smirnof Ice and we went on to get food at Marais (the one block we knew we'd always find something nice, eventually) and got to this restaurant with reasonably priced food (about 9 euros for a big plate of spaghetti with 'fruits de la mer' or something like that). We had to sit outside though cos it was too full inside. I didn't care much because me and Nova were sitting right next to a heating element but annika and natalie did since they were freezing to death. The food was really good and we were happy... there was this stray dog passing by a couple of times and we felt really bad for him, he had a lot of fur but just about no meat on his body so I ran down the street to find a store and ended up buying two packets of sausage for him. He ate it and I hope it made him a little more full even if he was a big dog.
After that Annika went to the toilet and mixed the vodka and the 7up in two waterbottles. We were drinking and wandering around Marais trying to find a good place to be but it all seemed kind of boring. We ended up at a club/bar with boring music and some dancing girls, not really strippers but close to, who really couldn't dance. We got bored. I had a really good piña colada or however you spell it but that was about it. So we left and went back to the metalbar. I was drunk and as was Annika and as was Nova so we thought that even if it wasn't a lot of fun, it would be in our state. It was a lot of fun though. They were playing good music, the shots were cheap and there was a lot more people there this time. We spoke to a gang of guys who had this metalband and they were really nice, Annika was speaking to a guy who could speak Spanish and then me french with this other man and Nova and Natali met a guy who could actually speak swedish really well, he was from Ireland and really cool. We were all quite tired however and ended up taking a bus home at about 2-3 in the evening as we were going home the next day anyway and we weren't having as much fun as we'd had the other three nights. The next morning we slept til ten (Sunday), had galettes for breakfast and then took the metro to leave the keys. We got a detailed description of how to get to Beauvais airport and went on to meet this Californian guy who was looking for Swedish, french speaking girls for a serie in France Tele 2, I'd set up a time and a date to meet him before I went to France because my 'responsable' in Paris when I used to live in Rennes had sent me an email asking if I was interested. We got there and Annika ran out again to get tampons, she was really annoyed because she'd gotten her period and just about every store is closed on Sundays in Paris, when we got to the church of Sweden the lady there got pissed and said 'this is a church, not a store!' when we asked for tampons and we generally just didn't like the place. Boring. People were watching the European Musicfestival in the basement. In came the californian guy with his girlfriend, he was really cool and confirmed that Champs-Elysées were like the most boring place to party and gave us a lot of awesome tips that we got mad we hadn't gotten earlier. But oh well, next time in Paris, I guess?
Then he took lots of photos and asked some questions and said he was gonna send it all to the tv production team. If they were still interested he'd get back to me and I'll be auditioning over video since I'm not in Paris atm. We then proceeded to the airport...

HORRIBLE FUCKING ENDING.
We got to the airport after going one hour on bus with some really hot italian guys who kept wanting us to drink their vodka (which of course, we did not). We then proceeded to check in. I was the first to check in. When I got to the desk the lady looked at my ticket and went;
"Look at the date. This was yesterday."
I completely panicked. Me and Nova had bought my ticket together and I have no idea how we could be so stupid that we missed that. Either way. I panicked and ran to the ticket and information desk to buy new tickets. The lady told me there were places left on the plane but they costed 250 euros (wtf? never heard of last minute deals?) which is 7 times more than the original price. I had only brought 200 euros to Paris... and most of them were most probably gone. I tried to pay with Nova's card. I then proceeded to try and pay half with her card and half with mine. Neither worked, annika didn't have much money at all and Natalie had her money in the bag which she had already checked in... I couldn't call home because for some reason none of our phones worked in Paris. I ran to a store, bought a phonecard and telephoned my aunt who gave me her card details so that I could buy a ticket (there was only 15 minutes left until I could not buy a ticket anymore)... And I bought it. Relief. But not that much. Because I have 250 euros if you count the money I've made on the tiny bit of working I've done plus the 100 euros I got from my dad as a birthdaypressie. It fucking sucks to give that money away for a planeseat with gum on it and en plus I don't know when I'll be able to make some money again. Oh well. I guess it's life?

We went home and everybody slept on the plane. God this was a good trip. One of the best times of my life! You don't need to read all this I guess cos it's probably quite boring, I just had to tell everybody.. gahgahagha. I guess I should've written that at the beginning, actually. :P Anyway. Woho! Best birthday ever. I'm happy. :D

Yo.
Yesterday I was at kaiser to da fucking chiefs with Finn and Jess and Georgia (some australians I've met here) and it was really acer than ace (not as ace as the first tme I saw them, but nothing could be) we were right up at the front and now my stomach feels like I've been run over by one hundred angry bisons.
All in all ace. It was funny because right before me and Finn saw some REALLY shitty french bands (this was at some sort of festival) that all the french people thought was 'MAGNIPHIQUE' (f?) or something like that, when it was totally crap. They all seem really into it too. Two guys banging the piano with concentrated looks on their faces all while having some computersounds bleeping in the background. The most funny thing was when Finn told me what they reminded me of. That scene in Zoolander when Derek and Hanzel try and get the files out of the computer... the ape scene.
Spot on haha because they really d i d look like that. Only a bit less intelligent.
Anyoway, less than a week til I go home!
WOO!

Wooooooooooo... [Aug. 1st, 2006|12:22 am]
I just got paint shop pro 9 and I'm having so much fun! I'm more used to photoshop really and have a hard time working out some of the features on here, because my computer is a crap windows 98, but it is indeed a good programme all the while and my foot has fallen asleep.

I've also started learning CSS, but haven't gotten further than to making a frontpage. I also drooled all over myself today, for reasons that are so amusing I can't even tell you because I guess it will sound creepy! But just imagine the drool and smile. It was funny. Bai!
